I'd just like to point out that you guys seem to have very boring weather! :P
Here's the Met Bureau weather forecast for the next few days:

Thats why when Red Symonds reads the weather in the morning , he says "the usual" meaning 33 or "1 over" or " 2 below" etc :)

Today is the first day in about 3-4 days that it hasn't been 40+ degrees in perth

wraith, what those forecasts dont mention is the lightning, thunder, almost horizontal rain, and the fact that generally u cant see the other side of the street. So, yep, boring indeed!
Hybrid and gumby, i would be interested to know the level of humidity that went with this alleged 'heat' of which you speak?

Yeah, I did notice that each day mentioned "storms"! ;-)

Is the power any more reliable than last year? Should we bring torches again? :P

i wouldnt rely on PAWA for anything, even relying on them to be unreliable... Best to bring torches =D

its a dry heat, not humid heat. im bringing a mop, so i can get the puddles off the floor from all the southerns melting.

Honestly is really wasn't that bad in Darwin. Sure it was hot and humid, but every building I went to had aircon (incl. zone!) and the maze was cooler than what Sunny coast has been like lately.

i think more cooling needs to be added. it is way to hot 8)
