JANUARY 2008 - ZONE ONLINE


The Australian Zone National Titles were held early this year during August 2007 in Bendigo, Victoria.

The Western Australian squad (pictured to the right, minus a couple) consisted of 3 teams, two from Northbridge and one team from Willetton. One of the Northbridge Teams, "That's Amazing!" brought home the First Place trophies for the the Main Event, which is the Team Event. (Capt_Aus, Slimey, Mattatanga, Chunky, Patto, Ronin441) All those who attended had a great time and really enjoyed their stay at the Big4 Caravan Park in Bendigo.

If you're looking for a new sport to play yourself, or a way to make new friends, then come on down and join a League Team today! We have our Summer League starting at Northbridge on Monday 7th January 2008, at Willetton on Wednesday 9th January 2008 and a short pilot League (4 weeks long) starting at our Malaga store on Tuesday the 22nd January 2008. The 2008 National Titles will be held here in WA at our Willetton Store. The event kicks off on Saturday the 9th of August 2008 and the Presentation Dinner will be held on Friday the 15th of August 2008. To play on a Nats Team for WA, you are required to be a regular League Player, those that have attended Nats interstate receive first preference over those that haven't, but must have been playing League for the past year to qualify above "non-travelled" players. It is a long, intense week of Zone, starting with some training and then the week consisting of a Solo's Tournament, Double's Tournament, Ladys Open Solo Tournament, Team Event, Triples Tournament and Masters Event as well as all the socialising and partying many of us participate in over the week. We make many new friends each year and always look forward to catching up with friends from previous years.

The Zone National Titles began back in 1999. The 1999 and 2000 National Titles were at the Boxhill Site in Victoria. Then it has moved each year, Sunshine Coast in 2001, Canberra in 2002, Hobart in 2003, Northbridge in 2004, Rockhampton in 2005, Campbelltown in 2006 and Bengigo, Victoria in 2007. This year of course being held at our very own Willetton Store.

The League Seasons start at:

NORTHBRIDGE: Monday 7th January 2008 at 6:30pm
WILLETTON: Wednesday 9th January 2008 at 6:30pm
MALAGA: Tuesday 22nd January 2008 at 6:30pm (This will be a very short season, four weeks)

The first Malaga Season will only run for four weeks and then we will run another short four week season straight after that, just to help get new players into the swing of things. The Autumn Season will start at a similar time to the other centres and then run a full 10-12 weeks like a normal season.

Our Malaga store opened in November and has already seen one Members Night and 2 Doubles Tournaments. Soon to see it's first league start on Tuesday the 22nd of January.

The new store is located at 299 Victoria Road, Malaga. It is the old Xtreme Leisure center. Xtreme Leisure are still running their indoor paintball in the front of the building but Darkzone now runs the Laser Game section. We have installed a set of Infusion Packs and made a few alterations to the foyer and maze. If you thought it was great before, then come and check it out now.


During January and February we have Mega-Pass on sale at all stores.

$24 gets you four games of Darkzone and if you're a Darkzone Member you receive a fifth game absolutely free.

Don't forget...you can trade in a used Mega-Pass to get $2 off your next Mega-Pass.

Games do not have to be played on the same day, the Mega-Pass is valid until 31st March 2008.


During the January School Holidays we have DAY PASS on sale at our Malaga store for $30.

DAY PASS entitles you to play in all the spare games and spots between 10am and 6pm the day you purchase the Day Pass.

Players paying Standard Prices receive precendence over Day Pass players.

As an extra special, valid Darkzone-WA Members can purchase a Day Pass for a low $25.
