One of Darkzone’s longest serving staff members has left our Western shores to hopefully start his own Darkzone over in sunny Queensland. We wish him the very best of luck. Kevin worked at the Northbridge store for over 8 years and will surely be missed by all the staff and regular players.


Willetton has always been the place to go for some epic Thursday Night Darkzone. During February we have been trialing Members Nights at Malaga after its success over the summer holidays. Because of how popular it has been we have decided to carry it on during March.

It costs $15 for the Thursday night which goes from 7pm until 9pm at our Malaga and Willetton stores. We run a variety of different games including Elimination, Domination, Base Flags, and Stealth Hunter.

It is a great way to get your game count up and also meet all the regulars that can teach you some tips and tricks to improve your scores!


Every month we make sure that our members are well looked after with heaps of specials.

Traditionally we release a calendar every month packed full of information about our evens and heaps of specials. Click the calendar to the right or pick one up in store.


Malaga will be the site for the March Doubles Tournament. It is being held on Sunday the 15th and will run from 6:00 pm-8:00pm. make sure you get down early to register your team of two.

Doubles competitions are held every month rotating between the three Western Australia sites (Northbridge, Willetton and Malaga). These competitions have grading and handicaps so if you don’t have a lot of experience, the handicap system will give you a fair go.


An annual competition is run to prove which site can produce the best team across the Northbridge, Malaga and Willetton sites. This was previously called North Vs South. This year, things are a bit different with Malaga being thrown into the mix. This currently un-named tournament should prove to be a very fresh and exciting competition in 09’ and will be run during April . Information regarding this competition still needs to be confirmed so make sure you check with your local centre and the Darkzone-WA website for updates!

If you are interested in representing your site, speak to your league coordinator. Be sure you do this quickly as teams will be finalized shortly!

In previous years, the Willetton site has shown they are the best in the state. Who will win this year to become the first State-wide Champions?


No doubt you’ve played other sports before but have you ever tried playing Darkzone as a sport?!

We have teams looking for new players to join them in the upcoming Autumn season of Social League at all three Darkzone stores. Seasons run for approximately 13 weeks every Monday at Northbridge, Tuesday at Malaga, and Wednesday at Willetton between 6:45pm and 10pm.

You can enter your own team of five players, join a team with a mate, or join as an individual. We have experienced teams that are looking for new players, so now is a great time to join!

The new season kicks off at all three stores on the following dates:
Northbridge – Monday 30th March
Malaga – Tuesday 31st March
Willetton – Wednesday 1st April

New players only have to pay $7 a night for the first four weeks as long as they have or purchase a Darkzone Membership. Teams can sign up as late as the 22nd of April.

If you think you are not good enough then don’t worry! We have a fair handicap system to make sure that our new players and new teams have a better go. Our experienced players and staff will also help point you in the right direction of becoming a AAA-Grade player.

Our social league offers a great, fun, and friendly atmosphere where you can make new friends of all ages. Our players range in age from 11 to 45.

Saturday & Sundays after 6pm

Valid Darkzone-WA members receive games for $7 each on Saturday & Sunday Nights after 6pm.

Staff reserve the right to stop Members from playing in any games they think will be adversely effected by Member participation, for the enjoyment of the general public.


Darkzone is considered to be an excellent sport when it comes to team building and staff wind ups. Not only does it provide the opportunity to socialize, compete, and have loads of fun with friends and colleagues but it also provides a great foundation to team building exercises. It is a game in which communication, team work, and understanding instruction are important factors in doing well.

We provide Lockout rates during the week and on weekends and also an exciting 9 till 1 session.

We are very flexible and will be happy to discuss and provide the perfect event for your company



There is a meeting for this year’s Nationals for all prospective players on Sunday 15th of March at 5pm sharp. Anyone who can’t make it to the meeting will need to contact Wombat prior to that date through his email address: wombat@darkzone-wa.com. This year’s Nationals Competition will be held at the Sunshine Coast LaserZone in Queensland in July 2009. Western Australia has a very good reputation at Nationals and we wish the players the best of luck when Nationals begins.

Willetton held the Nationals tournament in ’08 and it proved to be a very intense competition. Combat Wombat’s walked away with the title in an all WA Grand Final.
